The 1980’s was all about excess: greed was good, hair was big and colours were bright. Free-to-air-television and VHS tapes were all we had to watch on TV and our phones were attached to a wall in your house. Charles and Diana were the dream couple and posters of Madonna and Michael Jackson adorned our bedrooms walls.  Every girl was madly in love with George Michael and it was cool to carry a Boombox on your shoulder when listening to music in the street.

The fashion of the 80’s was a very unique era and clothing such as leg warmers, acid wash jeans and parachute pants were all the rage. Every garment possible had shoulder pads added to them and you weren’t one of the cool kids if you didn’t own an oversized T-Shirt with GO GO in Fluro colours printed on the front.
